At the beginning of
each season (and perhaps at other times during the season), you will receive a
file from the commissioner with a name of C-ABA2025.LPF (with the appropriate
year in the file name). Loading this
file will create the ABA organization on your computer for the current
season. Here are the steps to load the
file:
1.
Save the file to your
computer
2.
Run "League
Manager"
3.
Select "League
Play" from menu
4.
Select "Load
Commissioner File" from dropdown menu
5.
Select the file (C-ABA2025.LPF)
from wherever you saved it in step 1
Create a Franchise
File
Franchise files should
be sent with your series instructions for each road series. The file will carry your playing roster and
however many lineups you wish to use during the series. The steps below include using Advanced
Draft to set up your roster and lineups and then using League Manager to
create the franchise file.
In Advanced Draft :
1.
Draft
your roster for a scheduled series
2.
Select
Jump from menu
3.
Select
Team Lineup from dropdown menu
4.

up and store as many lineups as you will use for the series
5.
Exit
Advanced Draft (selecting option to save changes as you exit)

2.
Select "Create Franchise File"
from dropdown menu

will move your team name to the box on the left

(titled Filename ), change the name of the file to F- followed by
your team initials (such as F-ET for Essex Trailblazers)
6.
The box at the top of the screen shows you
the folder that the file will be created in. You can use that folder if
you want but it is 8 levels deep so you may want to click the Change Folder
button and select a folder that s easier to access (such as Documents or
My Documents ).
7.
Click OK button
8.
Use the resulting file (called F-XX.LPF
where XX represents your team initials) as an attachment with your series instructions
Load a Franchise File

steps below to load it on your computer.
Your opponent s roster and lineup(s) will then be all set up and ready

your computer

Play Against a
Micro-Manager
If your opponent chooses to use a micro-manager to manage his team,
the following steps must be taken at the beginning of each game. Once these are complete, you will then be
able to just manage your own team as the micro-manager will make all of the decisions and press the buttons for your
opponent.
From the Select Starting
Lineup screen in APBA Baseball:
1.
Under Manager Mode , select Auto
2.
Use the dropdown list under Manager to
select the name of the micro-manager being used by your opponent
3.

an already-specified lineup)
4.
Select the starting pitcher for the game
5.
For all other pitchers who will be starting
a game in the series, bench them from the game by right-clicking on each name
and selecting Bench from the dropdown menu (the word Benched will then
appear next to the name)
6.
Click OK to continue with the game
Save Game Scripts
If your opponent requests game scripts for a series, follow the

series managed by a micro-manager in order to allow
scrutiny of the managing skill of each micro-manager.
From the End of Game
screen in APBA Baseball:
1.
Place a check next to the final option
( Print to File Script )
2.
Click Do

5.
Click Save button
At the end of the series, attach all of the
individual game scripts ( VV-HH G1.html , VV-HH G2.html , etc.) to the email
you send to your opponent.
